First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref said Iran has made tangible progress in science and technology following the war, stressing that the country’s current technological capabilities are not comparable to those at the end of the Ramadan War.

Mohammad Reza Aref, First Vice President, said during a meeting with managers of the National Organization for the Development of Exceptional Talents, held with the participation of Education Minister Alireza Kazemi, that education is the foundation of the country’s progress.

He said that from the beginning of his activity, he has been concerned that students in exceptional talent schools should be educated in a way that makes them aware that the country must benefit from their abilities, and that they should not consider themselves superior to other students.

Aref added that Iran is currently living in the information age and is facing soft and technological warfare. He said the two recent wars were soft war and technological war, and that the officers of soft war are not military personnel but young scientists and elites.

He stressed that human resources are the country’s main advantage and should be used to achieve the top regional position in science and technology.

He added that following the 12-day war, we achieved tangible progress in science and technology, the results of which were observed in the Ramadan War. Even Iran’s technological capabilities today are not comparable to those on the last day of the Ramadan War.

He further stressed that cultural and educational sectors should not be placed in secondary priority, adding that education must remain the country’s top priority.
