An American journalist has said that the American people seem less interested in supporting foreign interventions but this change in attitude has not reached the ruling group in Washington.

the American journalist, Stephen Kinzer, said in an exclusive interview with ILNA that "When Biden came into office, he wanted to revive the deal. he had conflicting advice on the JCPOA.  One group told him to get back into the accord immediately. The other side argued that the US now had "pressure" over Iran, and he should wait and try to extract a different deal. "

he noticed that Biden listened to the second group, and everything the first group feared had come to pass.

now there is no good prospect of a deal, he said. "Each side thinks the other is eager for a deal so they can wait.  Neither government is making this a priority, which is dangerous."

he said that the American people seem less interested in supporting foreign interventions but this change in attitude has not reached the ruling group in Washington.

"There may be less appetite for direct military action, but the idea that the US must project coercive power around the world is still strong."
