Foreign insurers costs less than domestic companies; Farahbod tells ILNA

Iranian oil tanker official told ILNA that foreign insurers costs less than domestic ones.

"Shahram Farahbod", Director General of National Iranian Tanker Company’s Deputy in Insurance in his interview with ILNA, regarding differences between Iranian and International insurance companies’ cost told: "Insurance principles are based on and proportionate with big numbers. When numbers grow bigger, risk distribution would grow more and obviously they can send goods or provide services with a better conditions" he underlined.

According to Farahbod, in international markets, ceding insurers have high portfolios and therefore can provide cheaper services.

Top Iranian Oil Tanker official continued that clearly the rates that we get from IGA clubs are relatively lower than the rates that we receive from domestic companies.
