Amirabdollahian leaves Muscat for Qatar

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian who had arrived in Muscat before noon on Monday for meeting with Omani officials left that country on Monday night for Qatar.

Amirabdollahian had a meeting with Oman's minister of foreign affairs, a meeting with the spokesman of the Yemeni Salvation Government, and a meeting with the Iranians residing in Muscat, before leaving the Kingdom of Yemen.

In his meeting with Muhammad Abdul-Slam, the spokesman of the Yemeni Salvation Government, the Iranian top diplomat emphasized the need to end the siege of Yemen and to end the imposed war against that country.

Amirabdollahian considered political talks as the way for ending the difficulties of the Yemeni people, adding that all Yemeni talks are needed to decide about the future of Yemen.

Muhammad Abdul-Salam, too, in the meeting condoled with the Iranian government and people on the martyrdom of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s late ambassador to Yemen and appreciated Iran’s support for the Yemeni nation.

He also elaborated on the latest developments at the warfronts in Yemen.

The Iranian foreign minister also said in a meeting with his Omani counterpart Sayyid Badr Albusaidi that the two nations’ cultural relations have roots in history, and the two countries have managed to build strong and deep-rooted cooperation based on it.

In his meeting with Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers in the Sultanate of Oman Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al-Said, too, Amirabdollahian informed him of the seriousness and good will of the Iranian delegation in Vienna for achieving a good agreement.

In his meeting with the society of the Iranians residing in Muscat, including university professors, economic activists, sportsmen and cultural figures some of them spoke on miscellaneous issues amid a very intimate atmosphere.
