Washington is trying to enter Kabul through the leverage of economic and financial help or even get closer to this movement but other groups would undoubtedly blame the Taliban.

Mohsen Pakaein, the former head of the Afghanistan task force, wrote an op-ed for ILNA about the possible normalization of relations between the U.S. and the Taliban and examined the dimensions of this issue.

It seems that there are some efforts by Qatar to normalize relations between the U.S. and the Taliban, he wrote, adding that Molla Serajoaldin Niyaz has announced his willingness regarding this issue and said that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has no enmity with America.

After that, the minister of defense, Molla Yaghob, the son of Molla Mohammad Omar, also spoke about the friendly relationship with the U.S., according to Pakaein.

Also, Washington tried to give a green light to the Taliban. The special envoy of the U.S. for Afghanistan came to the region last week and he has tried to have some relations with the Taliban officials. He clearly has announced that the U.S. will never have a military move against the Taliban and said that “we are against any military moves against the Taliban by other groups.”

The history of U.S. crimes in Afghanistan has shown that Taliban supporters and people of Afghanistan do not have any interest in the re-emergence of the Taliban in this country and they recognize the U.S. as the main cause of destruction in Afghanistan, Pakaein continued.

Washington is trying to enter Kabul through the leverage of economic and financial help or even get closer to this movement.

If the Taliban wants to normalize its relations with the U.S., we will witness the beginning of the decline of this movement in Afghanistan.

I hope that the Taliban officials pay attention to this point that through the re-entry of the U.S. to Afghanistan, this country and its people don’t be attacked and the situation doesn’t get worse, Pakaein concluded.
