An expert on international relations has said that Iran is moving ahead with the nuclear negotiations but it is unlikely to make a deal that is in favor of the U.S.

Mehdi Motaharnia said in an exclusive interview with ILNA that “Iran’s nuclear case doesn’t matter to the U.S. but using it to put pressure on Iran makes it important.”

He said that Iran’s nuclear issue has the potential to create unity between the EU and the U.S. against Iran. On the other hand, it can keep away rival countries such as China and Russia from confrontation with the U.S.

The expert also said that knowing this issue, Tehran now tries not to enter a confrontation with the U.S. which means a no war no peace paradigm.

“On the other side, Iran tries to continue the negotiations without reaching a deal that is in favor of the U.S.” he noted.
