The Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs Leonid Slutsky said, “Without Iran’s cooperation in the framework of Astana talks, we cannot put an end to the war against ISIS in Shia regions”.
“We believe that for establishing an all-out stability and security structure in southern and central Eurasia, we should not drive away Iran and label it with negative tags but we should extend parliamentary diplomacy cooperation with the country,” he added.
“We are sure that the regional cooperation is the main basis to create a strong and stable security structure against Iranian and Russian enemies. We are in the same side of Iran in Syrian war. Moscow and Tehran helped Damascus to fight ISIS in the most parts of the region,” Slutsky reminded.
He said that Russia, Iran and Turkey jointly won the war against ISIS and they unite to stabilize Syrian situation.
“In addition to Syria, the cooperation between Iran and Russia also includes different fields such as trade, economy and investment which atomic energy is the leading topic,” according to the Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs.
