The anniversary of 4 November (13 Aban) which has been designated as 'the national day of fighting global arrogance', is currently underway in front of the former US embassy, 'Den of Espionage' in Tehran, with demonstrators chanting anti-US slogans.

According to an Iran Press report, 39 years ago, on this day (November 4,1979), Iranian students seized the US embassy (den of espionage) in Tehran in protest of numerous US plots against the Islamic Revolution.

On this historic day (November 4), two other vital events took place in Iran's history and the struggles of the Iranian people for freedom from foreign hegemony and domestic despotism, which are the exile of the Father of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini (God bless his soul) in 1964 and the killing of a large number of youths in 1978 by the former authoritarian regime.

Every year on this day, the Iranian people demonstrate national unity and coherence, participating in the national march and shouting the slogans of the Islamic Revolution which are independence, freedom, the Islamic Republic and the struggle against arrogance.
