Araghchi: Historical Ties Between Iran and Yemen Must Be Strengthened
Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has stressed the need to strengthen and develop the historical ties between Iran and Yemen, emphasizing the shared interests of the two countries and the severe suffering caused by the blockade imposed on Yemen.
According to ILNA, citing the Telegram channel of Iran’s Foreign Minister and Yemen’s Saba news agency, Abdulwahid Abu Ras, Yemen’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, received a message from Araghchi on Thursday concerning relations between the two brotherly nations and ongoing regional developments.
In his message, Araghchi underscored the importance of the historical bonds between Iran and Yemen and the need to strengthen and expand relations in line with the two countries’ common interests.
He also stressed that the unjust and illegal blockade imposed on the Republic of Yemen had caused severe suffering for its people.
