Baqaei: Blaming Iran for US, Israeli Crimes Is an Attempt to Whitewash Aggression
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei said that using the UN Special Rapporteur’s mandate on Iran to blame Tehran for crimes committed by the United States and Israel was an attempt to whitewash aggression and atrocities.
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei, reacting to claims by the so-called Iran Human Rights Reporting Mechanism, wrote on X that using the mechanism to blame Iran for crimes committed by the United States and Israel was a deliberate attempt to whitewash aggression and crimes.
"Regardless of the politically motivated nature of the mandate imposed on the Human Rights Council by the UK، exploiting the so-called Special Rapporteurship on the Situation of Human Rights in Iran to blame Iran for the crimes committed by the US and Israel amounts to nothing less than a deliberate attempt to whitewash aggression, atrocities, and unilateral coercive measures. Such an approach is deeply misleading and profoundly disingenous."
