Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman slammed the unrealistic positions taken by G7 and stressed Iran's constructive and undeniable role in establishing stability and security in West Asia.

In reaction to some articles of the final statement of the G7 ministerial meeting in France dealing with Iran, Bahram Qasemi said Iran's missile program is peaceful and defensive.

He added that Iran evaluates as unconstructive and unilateral the baseless and false allegations which emanate from misinterpretation of Iran nuclear plan and considers it as contradictory to Iran nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and E3 commitments.

It is regretted that the G7 member-states are influenced by the US illegal and bullying behavior and are after fulfilling the US demands which is just one member of the G7 by repeating false claims which they even confess do not belong to them.

Iran complying with its international commitments has proved its good will in maintaining interactions, talks and connections with the international community, Qasemi reiterated.

He went on to say that the Islamic Republic of Iran believes that raising unrealistic issues and useless attempts to show fake threats attributed to Iran will have no impact on Iranians' determination and Iran's approach to follow up its interests in the region and the world as well.

Condemning the violation of fundamental principles of the JCPOA by the E3, Qasemi called for E3 clear explanation.

He emphasized the fact that Iran will pursue the issue using available mechanisms.

The G7 meeting was held with the attendance of Former Acting United States Secretary of State John J. Sullivan and the foreign ministers of Germany, France, Italy, Japan, Canada and European Union Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini in France.

In some parts of the statement, the G7 members expressed concerns over Iran missile activities.

This is while, Iran has announced that its missile program follows defensive and peaceful aims.
