Araghchi: US Will Face Far Greater Strategic Defeat If It Chooses War Over Diplomacy
Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi said Iran is prepared to give diplomacy another chance if it sees strong evidence of Washington’s genuine willingness to build trust and reach a fair solution, warning that the United States would face a far greater strategic defeat if it chose war over diplomacy.
In a post on his X account, Araghchi shared a link to his latest article in the Financial Times and wrote that Iran was ready to give diplomacy another opportunity, provided there was strong evidence of the United States’ sincere willingness to build trust and achieve a fair solution.
“ Iran is ready to give diplomacy another chance, provided we see strong evidence of the United States’ genuine willingness to build trust and reach a fair solution,” he wrote.
The Iranian foreign minister added that if Washington preferred war over diplomacy, its decision would inevitably lead to another strategic defeat, on a scale far greater than before.
