The public relations office of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy said 23 vessels, including oil tankers, container ships and other commercial vessels, passed through the Strait of Hormuz over the past 24 hours after obtaining authorization and under the coordination and protection of the IRGC Navy.
In a statement, the IRGC Navy said the Persian Gulf is a body of water belonging to the Muslim countries of the region, adding that the aggression and provocations of the U.S. military were the main cause of insecurity in recent days.
The statement added that “smart monitoring” of the Strait of Hormuz is being carried out continuously with “strength and authority.”
