An Iranian lawmaker has said that in Iran’s military equations, the movement of the Taliban is not a serious one, if we want to deal with it, it should be done in a deterrent way, so that they do not repeat such an issue in any way.

Commenting on the border clashes between Iran and the Taliban, Shahriyar Heydari said in an exclusive interview with ILNA that “the fact is that these clashes are happening because of instability in Afghanistan’s government.”

The Taliban is not subject to international laws and regulations because they aren’t familiar with border regulations and laws, so sometimes they violate the borders beyond the laws, he added.

Today, we consider this issue as a result of their unfamiliarity with border laws but in case they repeated such violations they should be dealt with decisive action by our military and border guards, he noted.

Because in our military equations, the movement of the Taliban is not a serious one, he said, adding that if we want to deal with it, it should be done in a deterrent way, so that they do not repeat such an issue in any way.
