More than 215 million tons of goods were loaded and unloaded at the Iranian ports in the 11 months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21, 2024 to February 22, 2025), Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO) reported.
A local official said that more than 54 million tons of commodities have been loaded or unloaded at ports of Hormozgan Province in the first six months of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21, 2024).
The unloading of basic goods at the Iranian ports rose 14 percent during the first four months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 20-July 21), compared to the same period in the past year.
An Iranian lawmaker and an industry official say that Chinese vessels have been avoiding Iranian ports and Iranian ships are not allowed into Chinese ports.
