Warmest Love and Affection for Posterity: DPRK

-Becoming the Father of the Children of Whole Country

It is said that nothing is more important than children’s laughter to look into the mightiness and eternal future of a country.

We can always see a bright look on the faces of the children in our country which is overflowing with warm affection, where the future smiles on us and hopes spring afresh in our hearts.

In the morning, the children can be seen going to school frivolously with “Sonamu” (pine tree) school bags on their shoulders. What can be seen also is the faces of children like flower buds who write letters in square style with a crunching sound on the “Mindlle” (dandelion) note book holding “Haebaragi” (sunflower) school things in their hands. And what is heard in nursery, kindergarten, baby home, and children’s home is the cheerful laughter of the children after receiving dairy products.

Our country is indeed inscribed with a myriad of heart-warming stories of loving the future which goes down with the times of passion.

In retrospect, respected Comrade Kim Jong Un spared no efforts in the last ten years to show warm love, benevolence and tender loving care for the new generation.  These have been recorded in schools, boarding schools, baby homes, children’s homes, Okryu Children’s Hospital and Pyongyang Maternity Hospital across the country. These also have been permeated in the factories built everywhere in our country.

He saw to it that the modern production process of bag cloth is refurbished in Kim Jong Suk textile factory saying that the Party will fully take charge of providing school uniforms, shoes, school things and bags for children. When the Minddle (dandelion) Notebook Factory was built, he had a look at the samples and left his meaningful autographs including “ample knowledge, high morality and strong body”, “Let’s learn for Korea!” and “We envy nothing in the world”.

At a Party meeting recently held, he said that the issue of producing children’s school uniform is not a light work to be done conditionally, but it is the policy of our Party and eternal state policy of our Republic which should be done unconditionally as a top priority, and he took another important measure to supply all the students with good quality school uniforms and bags of new type.

The real value of genuine love and devotion is much more appreciated at a needy time.

When we look around the world, we can find many children losing their lives in the unrelenting disturbances and fading away with heartbreaking longing being unrealized, being subject to all kinds of social evils.

Even in the countries that are boasting of civilization of their own, children are falling prey to violence in families and society, and they are falling victim to gun-related crimes and murder being committed every day.

However, beautiful dreams and hopes of our children are coming into full bloom, and the sonorous and cheerful laughter they burst out without any envy in the world are resounding ever more clearly in our country even though it is in such a harsh condition.

Nowhere in the world can be found such an emotional picture where the leader of one country bring up all the children as the masters of the future, becoming the father of the children of whole country and being blessed with the children.

-Dreams and Hopes Guaranteed by State Policy

The latest 4^th Plenary Meeting of the 8^th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) successfully reviewed the start of the great change and advance in the socialist construction. The policy of love for the coming generation adopted at the Meeting has touched the hearts of all people of the country, drawing worldwide attention.

Special measures for the coming generation are continuously taken at every important meeting which discusses the political affairs of the Party and the state in our country. Yet an important measure was again taken at the Meeting to provide, at the state's expense, all the students across the country with new-style, high-quality school uniforms and bags.

Such world-surprising reality is inconceivable apart from the love of General Secretary Kim Jong Un who has made the supply of new school uniforms a policy, saying that it should be a must, not affected by the financial availability.

It is reportedly estimated that in the world, more than 1.2 billion children are forced into miserable life because of the armed conflicts and poverty, 123 million children are deprived of the right to learning, 1 out of 10 children is forced into child labor, and 1 billion children are suffering from violence and maltreatment…

As these statistics illustrate, those children are fated to find themselves on the battlefields in militant uniforms rather than go to school in school uniforms, and to leave their beloved homeland and wander around carrying refugee packages instead of schoolbags in their prime time of learning.

These are the miserable scenes of the children – a commonplace in any part of the present world.

By contrast, in socialist Korea, the state makes the children’s precious dreams come true under its responsibility, taking the place of the tens of millions of parents.

On this land, all the children are bringing their beautiful dreams into blossom by carrying our lovely schoolbags and using stationery with brand names like “Sonamu” (pine tree), “Mindulle” (dandelion), “Haebaragi” (sunflower) and “Durumi” (crane), thanks to the warm love of the great father who takes whatever burdens and pains for the coming generation even in the face of global health crisis.

Our country is globally envied and lauded as a paradise for children where the precious dreams and hopes of the coming generation are fully guaranteed by the eternal state policy under the endless and benevolent love of our dear father.

-A Wonderland of Love Where the Future of Talent Flowers

Today, various and comprehensive preschool education such as calligraphy, fast reading, paduk(go) and vocal music is on a high tide in our country, in order to find and grow talents according to tastes and aptitudes of the children.

Great efforts are devoted to the development of intellectual faculties of the children and to their early education in many kindergartens across the country such as Changgwang Kindergarten, Kyongsang Kindergarten, and Taedongmun Kindergarten, bringing up a great number of world-class musical prodigies and little young talents gifted with distinguished abilities.

There is one noteworthy thing here.

It is that the preschool education is not provided to specific kindergartens only, but it is provided in various ways to all the kindergartens of the country in the urban and rural areas and in the mountainous and plain areas, suited to the regional characteristics without any difference between the central and local areas.

True to the noble will of the respected Comrade General Secretary to open up the future of the prosperous and powerful country by developing our education into the most advanced and ideal one to which we can reliably entrust the future of the country, all the kindergartens of the country are competing with each other to grow up prodigies by applying systematic selection and proper education methods in due consideration of the talents and aptitudes of the preschool children.

Whichever kindergarten you may go, you can hear sound of musical prodigies singing songs and playing musical instruments reverberating from the sunlit windows. You can also find talents who are possessed with excellent calligraphic and fine art skills as well as young little graders of Takwondo and paduk which are permeated with the spirits of the nation.

Superb aptitude does not immediately develop into talent.

From the olden times, a flower tended by a gardener is more beautiful. Likewise, our children are fulfilling their dreams and hopes to their hearts’ content under the grateful socialist system and excellent educational environment that find good aptitude in time and show tender loving care to it, lest its buds fade away.

This is the reality of this land, a wonderland of love where the world-shaking talents of the children are flowering.
