Iran inked contract with foreign companies to producing radiopharmaceuticals

The AEOI head said Iran has inked a contract with several foreign companies aiming to enforce the ‘GMP’ project on production of radiopharmaceuticals.

The head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization, Ali Akbar Salehi added the implementation of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) project would be sponsored by National Development Fund.

He stated underlined that the project would be completed in three years, noting the country  would be able to produce and export radiopharmaceuticals to other countries through the execution of the project.

Iranian official underscored that one million patients in Iran use radiopharmaceutical services, adding the production of radiodrugs is on the increase in the country.

“Producing vaccines and radiopharmaceutical is one of the main programs of the AEOI and we have achieved remarkable progress in this field thanks to proficiency of our own experts “Salehi reiterated.

Iranian high ranking official went on to say that the country has also made good progress in fighting locust bean moths through the use of nuclear technology.”
