Member of Parliament expressed hope that the president gets higher amount of vote in his second term.

"Mohammadreza Aref", Head of Parliament Hope Fraction, in a press brief, referring to upcoming presidential election told: "Everyone should prioritize ethical issues and these matters were always deemed to be the foundations of our revolution. I hope all groups and political movements, put ethics and law on top of their agenda for moving ahead."

In reaction to a question about objections to large number of registrants for the election, he told: "It’s important to address the issue with considerate and mutual understanding between government, Parliament and Guardian Council."

Regarding some reformist figures' registration in presidential election, Aref added: "Attending the election race and becoming candidate is natural and there’s no way to impede such presence. Our major candidate is President "Hassan Rouhani" and we hope that through his active presence and our coordinated move, we can reach more votes in this term."

Regarding Vice President "Eshagh Jahangiri"’s bid for running in the election, Head of Hope Fraction in the Parliament called the move natural too and said that reformists would follow necessary measures.

Aref also in response to concern about participation of some of the reformist political figures in the City and Village Council elections told: "Obviously we will follow the rules and regulations in this regard and I don’t see any concern over the matter."
