Iranian, Pakistani ministers discuss bilateral cultural ties

Iran’s Minister of Culture Mohammad Mehdi Esmaeili and Pakistan’s Minister of Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb discussed cultural ties between their countries on Saturday.

They held their talks in the Turkish city of Istanbul on the sidelines of the 12th Conference of the Information Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The conference was held on Friday and Saturday.

The Iranian and Pakistani ministers referred to cultural and historical commonalities between the two countries, which they said have helped deepen cooperation between the two sides.

They discussed ways on the joint production of cultural and art works, as well as holding film festivals in the two countries.
