The chairman of the National Date Association of Iran said that Iran, after Egypt, is the second largest producer of dates in the world, announcing that the country stands at the first rank in terms of variety of dates.
Iran exported 390,000 metric tons of fresh dates, valued at $345 million, in the previous Iranian calendar year (from March 21, 2023, to March 19, 2024), as announced by an official from Iran’s Ministry of Agriculture Jihad.
Iran, as a country producing qualified dates in the world, allocates a main portion of the international date market to itself.
