If the terrorist groups bases and training centers remain active in Pakistan, based on UN Charter, Iran will take action against them, Chief of staff of the Iranian Armed Forces said.

Speaking to reporters on Monday, Major General Mohammad Baqeri said Pakistan is accountable for defending and cleansing its common borders with Iran of terrorists.

He added hidden training bases have been built by terrorist groups and organized and equipped by Saudi Arabia and the UAE money in Pakistan to conduct sabotage in Iran.

In the wake of the recent terror attack, Iran and Pakistan have started serious negotiations, he said. A delegation from Pakistan also traveled to Iran and negotiations are underway at commanders level, he noted.

He also urged Pakistan officials to cleanse the areas from terrorists or let Iranian armed forces confront these groups.

Underlining that 95% of terrorist attacks have been foiled over the past two months, he said many efforts have been made by terrorists to create insecurity in Iran.

Iran has clocked many parts of its eastern borders and has deployed many forces there, he said, adding that some parts are still open and the terrorists penetrated through these areas.

A Suicide attack on a bus carrying the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) personnel martyred 27 and wounded 13 in southeastern Iran on February 12. A terrorist group called Jeish al-Adl, affiliated to Al-Qaeda, claimed responsibility for the incident.
