Iran's Judiciary Spokesman Gholam Hossein Mohseni Eje'i announced that a sum of 29 people have been arrested for disrupting the country's economic conditions, adding that they will be put on trial soon.

"Many of the arrested people are charged with capital crimes which are punishable with execution," Mohseni Eje'I said without disclosing the names of the arrested individuals.

The judiciary spokesman reiterated that 29 people are arrested on charges of economic disruption, and said, "More people will be soon put on trial on similar charges."

“These people have been prosecuted and arrested for disrupting the country’s monetary and currency system,” Mohseni Eje'i added.

In relevant remarks in late May, Mohseni Eje'i warned that the US and Israel are using the terrorist groups, including Mojahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO, also known as the MEK, PMOI and NCRI), to stir insecurity in Iran.

"These days, the great Satan, the US, and certain American and Zionist statesmen threaten Iran and they have grown so desperate that they have resorted to the most hated people and the terrorists, whose hands are stained with the blood of over 17,000 Iranian people, to attain their goals," Mohseni Eje'i told reporters in a press conference in Tehran on Sunday.

He said that the Iranian nation and the security and police forces are vigilant enough and will confront any group which seeks to disrupt the country's security and tranquility of the people.
