Iran’s world trade volume at $200bn last year

Iran’s Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Mohammad Shariatmadari at the 12th edition of joint commission between Iran and Uzbekistan said, “Last year the Iranian oil exports were about $52 billion, non-oil exports were $47 billion and the value of imports was $50 billion”.

He added, “The value of the imports and exports indicates that the volume of Iranian trade ties is about $200 billion and according to this data Iran will be regarded as a trade partner for Uzbekistan”.

 “Given the road map was prepared by the presidents of the two states, we obligate to take fundamental steps toward to increase our trade cooperation”, Mr. Shariatmadari stressed.

Mentioning the development of transport relations between the two countries, he said, “The cooperation between Iran and Uzbekistan not only will follow as a frame work of Ashgabat but also as a format of Turkmenistan, Oman, Uzbekistan and Iran corridor”.

Mr. Shariatmadari has also called the free trade between Iran and Uzbekistan as an important issue to be followed.
