Caspian Sea legal regime meeting to be held in February

Azerbaijan Republic's deputy foreign minister said on Saturday that the working group to draft the Caspian Sea legal regime convention comprising representatives of five littoral states will meet in February.

Khalaf Khalafov, who is a member of the group, added that the meeting will be held in February after technical issues of the English text and other texts of the draft convention on the Caspian Sea legal regime are finished.

Talks on Caspian Sea legal status are held with the participation of Iran, Russia, Azerbaijan Republic, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.

On the date of the meeting to approve convention on the Caspian Sea legal regime in Kazakhstan, he said that the date should be fixed by the host country Kazakhstan in coordination with other littoral states.
