ILNA: A senior Iranian oil ministry official announced that the country plans to approve more than 100 oil projects by the end of the current Iranian calender year(which ends on March 20,2015) as part of efforts to boost the country’s oil revenues.

Speaking to Shana, the director for strategic planning at the Iranian Oil Ministry, Saeed Qavampour, praised the measures adopted by the ministry to implement the Resistance Economy strategies, saying that the administration has taken good steps in this regard.

“By the end of this year, over ۱۰۰ oil projects will be approved by the Economy Council in a bid to implement the Resistance Economy strategies, ” Qavampour said.

The Resistance Economy strategies outlined by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution aim to weather the effects of sanctions imposed on the country.

He also emphasized that most of the projects proposed to the Economy Council relate to petrochemicals and others mostly concern oil and gas sectors as well as refineries and storage projects.

He went on to say that with the implementation of “the Resistance Economy plans”, the country’s revenues from downstream oil industries will increase by $۲۰۰ billion.

In February this year, Ayatollah Khamenei in a proclamation outlined a series of general policies to boost the country’s economy and lower its vulnerabilities.

The proclamation, laying out a grand plan for Resistance Economy in Iran, was issued after consultations with the country’s Expediency Council and based upon the Clause ۱ of Article ۱۱۰ of the Iranian Constitution.
