IRGC vows resistance will endure until collapse of Israeli regime
The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has fiercely condemned the Israeli assassination of two senior Hamas commanders in the Gaza Strip, declaring that the West Asian region will never attain lasting peace and security so long as the criminal and child-killing Zionist regime continues to exist.
The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) on Thursday strongly condemned the assassination of two senior Hamas commanders by the Israeli regime in the besieged Gaza Strip, stressing that the path of resistance will continue until the liberation of Palestine and al-Quds.
In a statement, the IRGC said the assassinations once again exposed the “criminal, predatory, and inhumane nature” of the Zionist regime, asserting that the region would not witness genuine peace or stability as long as the occupying regime remains in place.
The statement denounced the killing of Mohammed Odeh, the newly appointed commander of Hamas’s military wing, who was martyred alongside his wife and three children in an Israeli airstrike on Gaza City. It also paid tribute to Ezzeddin al-Haddad (Abu Suhaib), a senior commander of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades who had spent nearly four decades confronting Israeli occupation forces.
According to the IRGC, the assassinations would not weaken the resistance front, but would instead further strengthen the determination of Palestinian fighters to continue their struggle until the full liberation of Palestinian territories and the Holy Quds.
Hamas confirmed the martyrdom of Odeh on Wednesday, describing him as a central figure within the al-Qassam Brigades. He had assumed leadership of the movement’s military wing only days earlier following the assassination of his predecessor, al-Haddad, in an Israeli strike on the same neighborhood on May 15. Al-Haddad was killed together with his wife, daughter, and several other civilians.
Elsewhere in the statement, the IRGC condemned the so-called peace initiatives promoted by US President Donald Trump regarding Gaza, describing them as deceptive schemes that have brought nothing but “killing, terror, and destruction” to the Palestinian people.
The IRGC also criticized the United States and its Western allies for their unwavering support for the Israeli regime, saying decades of Israeli crimes had exposed the hypocrisy of governments claiming to champion human rights and the freedom of nations.
Reaffirming Iran’s unwavering support for the Axis of Resistance, the statement underscored the IRGC’s determination to continue confronting the occupiers of al-Quds and backing the Palestinian nation in its struggle against occupation and aggression.
