Iraq condemns terrorist attack in Shiraz

Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Shiraz that left 15 people dead.

Al-Sudani met and held talks with the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Baghdad Mohammad-Kazem Al Sadeq on Sunday, the Iraqi media reported.

Referring to the importance of mutual cooperation between Iran and Iraq, the two sides discussed ways of strengthening relations and developing mutual cooperation at various levels and areas.

They stressed the significance of the development of bilateral relations between the two states in order to boost sustainable development for the benefit of two friendly nations and to strive to bolster stability and tranquility for all nations in the region.

The terrorist attack in Shiraz, Fars Province in Southern Iran left 15 people dead, including two children, as a gunman opened fire at pilgrims gathering at Shah Cheragh holy shrine.

The Daesh terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack.
