Iran exports to Oman increase 103%: Official

The Iranian Customs Spokesman said that the amount of non-oil trade of Iran with Oman was 4,190,000 million tons of goods worth more than 1 billion dollars.

Roohollah latifi said in an exclusive interview with ILNA that “In the year 1400 (2021-2022), the amount of non-oil trade of Iran with Oman was 4,190,000 million tons of goods worth more than 1 billion dollars, which has increased compared to the same period last year.”

He said that the most important export items include bitumen, urea, steel and iron products, fruits, leeks, and construction materials, and the most important items imported from Oman, include corn, coal, crude oil, oilseeds and wheat, barley, industrial machinery, Road machinery, minerals, medical and dental equipment, paper and cardboard.

“In last April, the number of exports to Oman was 176,203 tons of goods worth more than 74 million dollars, which compared to the same period last year experienced a growth of 7% in weight and 103% in value,” he added.

Also, the number of imports from Oman in April was 41,328 tons worth more than 36 million dollars, which compared to April of last year has a growth of 29% in weight and 143% in value, he said.
