Officials of the Iranian Arvand Free Trade Zone Organization and the Iraqi city of Basra late on Saturday shared views on removing restrictions on exchange of goods between the two countries and reopening of Shalamcheh commercial border.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran condemns any attack on diplomats or diplomatic missions," Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi said on Saturday.
The media has received some audio files from its sources which indicate the Saudi intelligence agency has been trying to recruit people in Basra to use them for special missions.
The Iraqi ambassador to Iran has been summoned by Iran Foreign Ministry and a formal protest was lodged to him on the incident of setting fire on Iran's Consulate General in Basra on Friday.
