Iran’s former lawmaker has said that Democrats are wrong to kill the opportunities of reviving the JCPOA.

Heshmatollah Falahatpisheh told ILNA that the political atmosphere between Iran and the U.S. is hostile.

He noted that the U.S. acted extremely unprofessional in Iran’s recent developments and tried to use Iran’s internal developments to weaken its bargaining power of Iran.

The expert commented on the possibility of any opening in the JCPOA case, “I believe that Iran and the U.S. will put the policy of wait-and-see on their agenda.”

The general situation has shown that Iran and the U.S. have dismissed the past opportunities and are in a condition of tension, he said.

The best situation is that both sides reach a deal on a joint framework to prevent the escalation of the tensions, he said, adding that Democrats are wrong to dismiss the opportunities of reviving the JCPOA.
