Russian envoy: Iran-Russia put developing trade ties on agenda

Russian Ambassador to Iran Alexey Dedov said that developing relations between Iran and Russia, especially trade exchanges, is on the agenda of the two countries.

Dedov made the remarks addressing the Iran-Russia business conference.

He said that the two countries have discussed developing cooperation between ministries, central banks, and security bodies.

He added that the Russian delegation is in Iran to take the necessary measures for materializing $4b worth of trade exchange.

He went on to say that Russia has opened its market for friends, adding that Iranian partners can replace Western companies.

Logistic conditions and exchanging national currencies are important steps for businessmen, he said urging the two sides to accelerate the development of the North-South Corridor.
