The former CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company said that Iran's most important solution toward oil selling in the current situation is more political than economic.

Referring to the discounts Iran is offering in selling its oil in competition with Russia in the Chinese markets, Mohsen Ghamsari told ILNA that under the current circumstances, there is a possibility that the two countries consider offering discounts.

The logic dictates that discounts should be offered so that the revenues can be received, he added.

Commenting on Iran's most important solution in the current situation, he said that Iran’s solution is more political than economic.

Solving problems through economic competition isn’t possible, he said, adding that if we can solve the political problems it will help our oil trades.

The former CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company also referred to the number of exports and discounts that have been given to China by Iran and Russia and said that transactions are done in the black market and are unclear, even China's Customs don’t announce it and the exports numbers are confidential.
