The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tehran Chicken Union has said that Turkey has gotten Iraq to ban imports of Iranian eggs.

Responding to a question on why Iraq returned Iran’s exported eggs, Naser Nabipor said in an exclusive interview with ILNA that “Iraq doesn’t need Iran’s eggs and chickens permanently because they meet their needs for eggs from Turkey."

He said that Turkey can supply Iraq with eggs throughout the year while Iran can do so only during the summer. That's why Iraqis banned the imports of Iranian eggs under Turkish pressure.
