President Hassan Rouhani urged all the relevant organizations in Iran to help expand the tourism industry and job creation in it.
According to the Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade, 44,719 jobs were created in 27 industrial fields in Iran during the first half of the current fiscal year (March 21-Sept. 22), registering a 16% rise compared with the corresponding period of last year.
Addressing the first Cabinet session of his new term on Sunday, President Rouhani referred to job creation as “the first duty of the new administration” and called on all executive bodies of the government to come up with special plans to tackle unemployment The Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare plans to create 971,700 new jobs before the end of the current Iranian year in March 2018.
The agenda of the central bank during the next four years includes moving toward stable production and job creation, directing banking assets toward productive economic activities, maintaining a single-digit inflation rate and developing correspondent. Other major items on CBI’s agenda include continuing support for small- and medium-sized enterprises and reforming business models of banks.
