Iranian Foreign ministry spokesman while reacting to recently declared Saudi-Kuwait agreement on Arash shared gas field said here on Saturday: The Arash-Al Darreh gas field is shared by Iran, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, and some parts of it in Iran-Kuwait waters without defined border.
Iran has decided to use local firms to develop a large offshore natural gas field, which was discovered by an Indian company and set to be developed by a group of Indian firms, Press Trust of India reported, citing sources with direct knowledge of the plans.
Iran’s Pars Oil and Gas Company is expected to add 56 mcm/d to its exploitation from South Pars gas field by the end of the Iranian calendar year (started March 21) to set a record in production from world’s biggest gas field, according to the managing-director of the company.
The director of supervision on production at National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) has said that associated petroleum gas flares at South Pars gas field would have been extinguished by March 2020.
Iran’s Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) has signed a deal with a French company for cooperation in South Pars Gas field, Mohammad Meshkinfam, director of Engineering and Construction at POGC, said.
Russia said its energy giant Gazprom is negotiating with the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) over an agreement to develop a gas field in Iran.
