Just like Romania, Bulgaria is a NATO and EU member with all the obligations and loyalties that come from these allegiances. But the Slav essence of the Bulgarian language opens us to a number of Slavic countries, the orthodox Christianity leads to similar proximity with other Orthodox states, while Bulgaria is also the EU country with the largest percent of the population that is Muslim.
