Iran has discovered about a dozen new oil fields with in-place reserves of 30 billion barrels, head of exploration at National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) says.
Deputy Managing Director of National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) Gholamreza Manouchehri said on Monday that some 12 Memorandums of Understanding have been signed with foreign oil executives so far and 12 other MoUs will be signed soon.
Deputy oil minister said Britain has deposited Iran’s share of Rhum gas field revenues into NIOC’s account though the amount is frozen for the time being.
Iran plans to offer second phase of South Pars oil layer development project to foreigners, Ali Kardor, the Islamic Republic’s deputy oil minister said.
Iran said on Friday that it is ready to join an oil freeze plan that has been proposed by several key peer producers to help stabilize the market.
