Makran ships

Two Iranian warships of Sahand and Makran have succeeded in sailing 14,000 miles to reach St. Petersburg in Russia, bewildering Western powers of whereabouts would be their destination from day one the ships started the long journey.

Iran's Navy Commander Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi described the presence of Iran's Sahand and Makran ships in the Gulf of Finland as a historic event and said the success means the opening of the gates of the North Sea and Finland to Iranian fleet.
