XVIII Summit of the Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) with participation of the heads of 60 countries, including Hassan Rouhani, the president of the Islamic Republic of Iran, kicked off in Baku, Azerbaijan on Friday.
“Just as the Iranian government has repeatedly rejected the position of the 2030 document because of its fundamental deficiencies, we did not endorse this position on behalf of the youth and legal entities of the Islamic Republic of Iran” he said.
Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif arrived in Baku on Tuesday afternoon to attend the 5th trilateral meeting of foreign ministers of Iran, Turkey and Azerbaijan Republic.
Negotiations between Iranian, Russian and Azeri presidents in Baku are a beginning for unity and a new chapter in relations between the three captials, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said that the statement signed by Iranian, Russian and Azeri presidents in Baku will accelerate interaction between the three countries.
