An expert on Europe has said that the diversity of candidates for the next leadership of the Conservative Party and Britain’s prime minister is a sign of political maturity in this country.
Underling that the line of candidates for the leadership of the British Conservative Party has become very long, Morteza Makki told ILNA that the characteristics of the new candidates are important because of their citizenship and their descent.
If you look at the names of the candidates for Britain’s new prime minister you can see that one of them is of Indian descent, another is of Asian descent while some hail from Iraq and even Africa.
The diversity of candidates for the next leader of the Conservative Party and Britain’s prime minister is a sign of political maturity in this country, he added.
The factors that the Conservatives raised for choosing the next party leader generally include taxes and budget deficits, he said, adding that the discussions on this issue will intensify during the next weeks.
