Damascus can file a lawsuit against Israel by complaining to the UN Security Council as well as international justice organizations, but there are western obstacles in this regard, an expert on the region has said.

The aims of each attack that has been done by Israel against Syria isn't separate from Iran and their goal is to hit resistance, Mohammad Jafari said in remarks to ILNA, explaining the legal and political consequences of the recent Israel attack against the Damascus airport.

He added that over the last few days some other signs have appeared that are related to these attacks, including Grossi’s report against Iran that many believe was in complete coordination with Israel.

On the other hand, we should consider that Zionists are intensifying their movements with two aims, he said, adding, “First, the Vienna talks had been reaching to a specific point and because of that they once again increased their political pressures and military movements. Second, Israel wants to inform the world that Tel Aviv's intention to confront Iran is serious.”

Damascus can file a lawsuit against Israel by complaining to the Security Council as well as international justice organizations, according to the expert.  "But there are obstacles in this regard," he noted.
