Spokeswoman for the Russian diplomacy apparatus said she plans to travel to Tehran to confer with Iran's foreign ministry officials.

In an interview with the Director General of Islamic Republic News Agency on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg Economic Conference, Maria Zakharova said, "We and the Iranians have a lot to say. And so I'm going to visit Tehran soon."

Zakharova stated, "We have good communication with IRNA correspondents in Moscow, while (with laughter) Israeli journalists do not attend our press conferences."

Also on Friday, Zakharova told Aljazeera that US’ political will was required for establishing a dialogue between Tehran and Washington, stressing that the two countries were capable of direct dialogue and did not need intermediaries.
