There is no possibility to negotiate with US: Iran’s FM spokesman
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qassemi stressed that with this United States of America and the policies that the US has taken, certainly there in no possibility to negotiate and interact with it.
Speaking in his weekly press conference on Monday, Qassemi said, “US shows every day that it is unreliable”.
Mentioning to the US hostile policies against Iran and its illegal withdrawal from the nuclear deal known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), the spokesman added, “with this America and the policies that the US has taken, certainly there in no possibility to negotiate and interact with it”
About the visit of Oman's Foreign Minister Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah to Washington and speculation over whether the purpose of the trip was mediation between Iran and the United States, Qassemi said, “I have no idea about the content of the talks and the purpose of Mr. bin Alawi’s visit to Washington”.
“Iran and Oman have great bilateral relations and Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif had also traveled to Muscat over the past weeks. I don't see any connection between these trips,” he stated.
