Rezaei Warns Against Maritime Blockade, Escalation in Lebanon
Senior Iranian military figure Mohsen Rezaei said the Strait of Hormuz remains under Iran’s management, stressing that Tehran will not allow the continuation of a maritime blockade and warning against further escalation in Lebanon.
Mohsen Rezaei, former commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) during the eight-year Sacred Defense, said the Strait of Hormuz is under Iran’s management and that continued maritime blockade will not be allowed.
In a post on his official account, Rezaei wrote: “The Strait of Hormuz is under Iran’s management, but we will not allow the continuation of a maritime blockade. Escalating tensions in Lebanon will not be tolerated either, and the patience of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran has limits.
