Some factions of Afghan government seek tensions with Iran: Expert

An expert on Afghanistan has said that there is no doubt that Iran demands its water share from the Hirmand River but every demand requires a series of requirements, and paying attention to these requirements will facilitate our path.

 

The security and stability in border areas are very important to us and if a violation takes place by a neighboring country, certainly will be met with a response from Iran, Mohsen Rohisefat said in remarks to ILNA.

I believe that some factions in the ruling body of Afghanistan are interested in creating tensions with Iran, he said, adding that the recent border tensions between Iran and Afghanistan could be the result of provocations of those factions who want to create tensions between the two countries.

Referring to the Hirmand water share issue, the expert said that there is no doubt that Iran demands its water share but every demand requires a series of requirements, and paying attention to these requirements will facilitate our path.
