Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said that there is no doubt in the Iranian government’s will to reach a good, strong, and lasting agreement.

Amir Abdollahian made the remarks in a phone call with High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell Fontelles

Amir Abdollahian appreciated Joseph Borrell and Enrique Mora efforts and pointed to his recent talks with the foreign ministers of Italy and France, saying the White House should put aside exaggerations and doubts and step realistically in line with reaching a solution and an agreement and stop repeating the ineffective approach of the past and non-productive behavior and resorting to pressure and sanctions.

Referring to the tripartite meeting between the presidents of Iran, Russia, and Turkey in Tehran, he elaborated on Iran's approach to food and energy security.

Referring to his recent talks with the Foreign Minister of Ukraine, he said: Facilitating the export of Ukrainian grains is of great importance.

Meanwhile, Borrell praised Iran’s positive and serious will in the negotiation process.

He emphasized the necessity of presenting and summarizing the ideas of the parties in the current situation.

Appreciating Iran’s initiatives to overcome obstacles and resolve some remaining disputes to reach a final agreement, he offered readiness to facilitate and accelerate this process through consultation with all parties.

I believe that months of effort should lead to results, and I will continue to try to bring the views of Iran and the United States closer together and reach an agreement.
