Iraqi parliament speaker calls for expansion of relations with Tehran

Iraqi Parliament speaker Mohammed Al-Halbousi on Tuesday urged the importance of diplomatic measures to further expand relations between Tehran and Baghdad.
Al-Halbousi made the remarks in a meeting in his office with Iran's new ambassador to Baghdad Mohammad Kazem Al-e Sadeq.
The Iraqi parliament speaker wished success for the new Iranian ambassador.
During the meeting, the two discussed bilateral relations and ways for promotion of bilateral relations in different areas.
Al-Halbousi and Al-e Sadeq also exchanged views on the developments underway in Iraq and the entire region.
Al-e Sadeq began his tenure as Iran’s new ambassador to Baghdad two months ago.
