A senior professor at the South Alabama University has said that Iran’s reaction to the recent IAEA resolution was convenient and understandable.

Neither the political system nor the senior officials in the Islamic Republic of Iran have raised the issue of Iran’s withdrawal from NPT in the current situation, Nader Entesar told ILNA.

As regards Iran’s reaction to the recent IAEA resolution against Tehran, he said that Iran couldn't disregard the IAEA director-general's report and the Board of Governors' resolution.

“From my point of view, Iran’s response was convenient and understandable. By this action, Iran has not violated its safeguard obligations and all of Iran’s activity and nuclear industries are under the supervision of the IAEA,” he added.

The future of cooperation between Iran and the IAEA depends on this technical international organization's behavior which unfortunately has become political, he said.
