An expert on international issues has said that he doubts that Russia would go along with Iran regarding the nuclear issue. Now Iran is in a confrontational stance with the IAEA and I don’t see any path forward, he said.

It seems that the opportunity of “controlling the nuclear file” has been missed, Sasan Karimi said in an exclusive interview with ILNA.

Describing the confrontational atmosphere between Iran and the IAEA, he noted that “I doubt that Russia would go along with us regarding the nuclear issue, now Iran is in confrontational stance toward the IAEA and I don’t see any path forward.”

Underlining that the main way out is continuing the negotiations, he said that “the reality is that Iran can provide an explanation for alleged pollution; most of them can be a result of sabotage, Iran can present more accurate answers in a way that the IAEA can’t retort.”

Iran must have had more active diplomacy so that it can keep the consensus against the U.S., he added.
