Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian described the US and E3 submission of the resolution to the International Atomic Energy Agency's Board of Governors as a hasty and political move.

Amir Abdollahian made the remarks in a phone call with Secretary-General of the United Nations António Guterres.

Expressing support for the continuation of the ceasefire in Yemen, he stressed the need for a complete lifting of the humanitarian siege, and termed it as a good context for further talks between Yemeni groups.

Referring to his recent conversation with his Syrian counterpart, he described the continuation of the Israeli aggression on Syrian territory and the military attack on the civilian airport in Damascus as a gross violation of the principles of the UN Charter.

The situation in the region has proved that the Zionist regime's acts against the security and stability of the region will return to itself.

Meanwhile, Guterres stressed the importance of continuing the Vienna talks and termed diplomacy as the best way to resolve disputes between the Islamic Republic of Iran and some other parties to the JCPOA.

He also described the International Atomic Energy Agency's recent resolution on Iran as merely a recommendation and stressed the importance of continuing the talks.

He appreciated the constructive efforts and positions of the Islamic Republic of Iran in supporting the continuation of the ceasefire in Yemen.

Guterres referred to the Astana meeting on Syria as a good context to address the crisis and resolving possible concerns between Syria and Turkey.
